My RN account gets banned before I even post anything. Are there hidden restrictions for users in the US?

Hey everyone, I’m hoping to get some advice from people who have experience with RN.

I’m currently based in the US and want to use RN to connect with potential clients, expand my business network, and share legal-related content and insights.

However, I’ve run into a frustrating issue.
My account keeps getting banned shortly after registration, before I even have a chance to post anything or start using it.

I understand that platforms have security systems and account verification policies, but this has happened repeatedly, and I’m struggling to figure out what’s triggering it.

It makes me wonder:

Does RN have any undocumented restrictions on users registering or accessing the platform from the US?

Could the issue be related to my IP address, phone number, device, account verification, or other registration signals?

Are there specific requirements for accounts used for professional content, business development, or legal education?

Has anyone based outside mainland CN successfully built and maintained a RN account for professional purposes? If so, what did you do differently?

I’m not trying to bypass platform rules. I just want to understand what I might be doing wrong and whether there’s a legitimate way to register and use the platform consistently.

I’d really appreciate hearing from anyone who has experienced the same issue, especially people based in the US or other countries outside mainland CN.

Has anyone figured out why an account can get banned before publishing a single post? Is this a registration/ scurity issue, or are there restrictions that aren’t clearly communicated to international users?

Thanks in advance for sharing

You’re prob triggering the "high-risk industry" filters because legal content requires immediate certification now, which effectively blacklists your device ID. You mentioned you want to "connect with clients" and "share legal insights." If you set up your profile bio with keywords like "Lawyer," "Consultant," or "Services," or if you include contact info (email/phone) in your bio immediately upon registration, you will be banned instantly. Another thing that could instantly ban you is if you DM 2-3 accounts within a short period of time. If you don’t want to go through the hassle of getting a new device and number, you can try emailing [email protected], but to save yourself the back-and-forth I went through, you should include all their required security answers in your very first email. Specifically, they need your RedNote ID, the last four digits of your registered phone number, and confirmation of whether any third-party accounts are linked, plus at least one verification item like your country of residence, the specific device you used to login, your registration year, or a screenshot of your profile; providing all of that immediately is the only way to expedite the process without waiting for their automated reply.

If you want to use your account for legal education or discussion you'll need to submit credentials (like a bar registration card) before posting. If you've been alluding to legal discussion in account setup or your profile, that's a good chance why you're getting banned

Actually, in mainland China, its risk control is also very strict. Its essential goal is to address the issue of matrix operations, and for personal accounts, it does not allow directing traffic by sharing contact information.

Couple reasons&facts. 1. RN has very strict policies when the user wants to post professional knowledge (eg, law/meds etc). To verify as a blogger specified in law they require us to submit a series of documents (such as PRC bar exam result etc) and I asked today they said that they only accept Chinese documents so it's unlikely that you can register directly as a foreign legal blogger on RN. 2. RN typically wants to share from every penny you make so this platform hates ppl directing followers to their own without permission from the platform (hate this as well). 3. Generally they have very strict censorship for overseas users so it's normal that foreigners get banned even wo reasons. 4. I guess you don't just want facts but would also want compliance suggestions: 1. you might want ppl who do have a Chinese phone num and ID to help you run the account (that's a common practice I've seen). 2.Still use your own account, but try to start as sharing your dailylife as a x? Overseas working class content is kind of in a trend recently. also avoid posting any legal/professional related content, yes it gets banned easily. 3. join a RN qualified MCN(don't know this part well, also as far as I know there is one MCN signing foreigners in China but it seems that all these bloggers are staying in CN rn, indicating that they all have some sorts of Chinese identity that can be used to register RN? 4. Business account (it's different from personal account but it also requires some sort of licensing). Hope this is helpful!

You HAVE to submit identification documents such as a passport and driver's license if you want access to the app.

Got "forever/permanently banned" on Rednote - pls help

So it says that I violated 2 rules. One being something along the lines of obtaining another users details to scam them. The other being that I'm impersonating someone else. I think I did violate the first rule by accident - someone messaged me cause they were in my city. As we got chatting a bit more, the other person also clearly told me the company name that they work at (I didn't say where I worked). I think that was how I violated the first rule, it was by accident 😭 For the second rule, I'm still confused, I'm not impersonating anyone at all?? I literally only have 2 posts, one being a "anyone wanna meet up in xxx city?", and the other being a "here's a beach i just went to on Saturday"... I've appealed once, but got rejected within half an hour. I'm so lost, and I really want to keep this account. I've already got in touch with the rednote live chat people, they just told me to wait for the next round of appeals (in 5 days). But honestly, i'm so scared of it getting rejected again. Do anyone have any clue what I can do? 😭💔💔💔

Restriction

Hey guys not sure if I’m the only person who’s been randomly restricted. I have no violations on my account yet I was just randomly restricted an required to do a security protection verification. I should also add that this would be impossible for me to complete considering I am from another country.

RedNote Account Banned Issue

Anyone else facing this problem??? Is there any way to resolve this issue? My appeal has already been rejected, and customer support told me that they do not have the authority to remove the restriction. Has anyone experienced the same situation and successfully recovered their account? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. 🙏

How can I verify my account? Help

I'm new to rednote, don't speak chinese and I'm using google translate to get around. I can't seem to find a "send to review" button there, however, nor can I click the "verify real name" at the top options, as it simply doesn't get to another page.
