I am very liberal, and should typically be in Liberal Tok.
The last week a TON of right wing content has been coming through on my FYP for some reason. It seems to have coincided with the addition of the Dislike button.
Same here, im hitting “not interested” more in the last couple days than ive had to in the last couple months
Except for the night of the shutdown when it came back - which then i got pushed video after video of maga, trump, and republican talking heads.
This feels very much the same.
The unlike button has been on tt for a while now so it has nothing to do with that. Your best bet is to scroll as quickly as possible cuz even if u report it you’ll see so much more of it.
Facebook, Instagram, TikTok and Twitter are all forms of behavioral modification. They all hire massive amounts of behavioral scientists to help with the algorithm to make you feel what they want you to feel. They do this under the guise of helping companies to advertise to you but it’s more nefarious than that. Their CEOs have admitted this is the case and don’t even allow their own children to use the platforms. Just delete it if you have a sliver of a care for living in a democracy.

TT had become X. It's pushed all the sane people out, now it's just a soap box for crazies.
It’s about who you’re engaging with as well as people you follow. I saw an uptick in right wing content after a coworker and I followed each other. After I saw some of their content, I unfollowed.
Some of your mutuals or people you follow are engaging with right wing content. Or posting it.

Yes. I’m a Latino male and I feel like my algorithm is rage bait to me at this point because it’s all conservative bs. I try putting “not interested” on all these videos but it keeps pushing that content on me. My assumption is that my algorithm is trying to sway my opinion by taking things I have an interest in like the gym, or workout content and adding conservative narratives to it. I don’t even interact with or comment on anything anymore since the shut down.

I mean freedom is speech, gone. freedom of commerce, gone because only Mafia Dons hold a gun to your head and force you to sell your company, oh Mafia Don's and the corrupt US government. Freedom of association gone, and gone with a ruling fully hypocritical to their Citizens United Ruling that increased government corruption in the US.
