Why is reuploading other people's content accepted on TikTok?

I've been in the video production game since 2009 and something I've recognized is that reuploading other people's videos on more short-form oriented platforms such as TikTok, IG Reels, etc... is generally accepted, even when you don't credit the original creator.

Yet for the longest time, this was considered not only extremely taboo but straight up against TOS on platforms like YouTube. Why is this?

It's just straight up theft. A lot of people have no morals now

I’ve seen a lot of people on TikTok call it out because of how lax they are. Which also affected streamer CaseOh to where he doesn’t post on TikTok anymore. I also see bot accounts posting outdated news as well.

It’s driving me insane. I have 500k followers and people rip my content CONSTANTLY. But TikTok won’t remove their account. Neither will YouTube, Facebook or instagram
