Growing on Insta is all about consistency and engaging with your audience, the part about needing an answer implies you're looking for a straightforward strategy, so post high-quality content regularly and respond to comments on your posts to build a loyal following.

first question is what is your niche?
second question is what is your goal on social media?
third question is what is your content format??

views but no follows usually means your profile doesn't convert, not that your content is bad. two different problems.

f someone lands from a reel, do your last 9 posts make it obvious what they'd get by following? you said you're shifting from personal blog to dance/lifestyle... mixed signals might be the issue. people see the grid, get confused, bounce.

i'd commit fully to the new niche for 30 days, update bio to match, and then judge. the algorithm needs a clear signal about who to show your stuff to.

500–1k views with only 250 followers is actually not bad. A lot of times the problem isn’t views, it’s that the content doesn’t give people a reason to follow. Try making a clear niche (memes, college life, fitness, whatever) and add a small hook like “follow for more” or make your reels part of a series so people want to see the next one. Some creators also test different edits or thumbnails using tools like Canva or CapCut, and I’ve seen people mention Cracked for experimenting with different ad variations to push content further. But honestly consistency + a clear niche usually matters the most for growth.

Follow new people every day, comment on 10 posts a day, make friends. Have them share your content. That is the main way - be social.

What I realized and my observation with my two clients is that reels are not getting pushed as it was initially, while carousels are booming like crazy. For this new brand that I am working with, we hit 2k+ views on the first ever posts with 20+ reshares for carousels while reel got stuck at around 400 views.

The Dark Side of Social Media: The Manosphere

I've just watched this docu 'Louis Theroux: Inside the Manosphere' on Netflix that dived into a truly dark corner of the internet a.k.a *the manosphere.* It is honestly shocking to see how social media has let men with deeply misogynistic, oppressive views build such massive platforms. Plus, a lot of these creators have audiences made up of minors. Do we need stricter age restrictions on social media to protect younger users? This is genuinely corruption. How might this affect the next generation of men? And more importantly, how do we push back against it?

What is engagement on LinkedIn?

Everyone talks about "boosting engagement" but nobody actually breaks down what that means practically. Likes, comments, shares, clicks they all count differently and yet most people treat them the same. From what I have seen comments carry the most weight both for the algorithm and for actual human memory. When someone leaves a genuinely thoughtful comment I remember their name way longer than whoever wrote the original post. Is that just me or does anyone else experience linkedIn that way?

Does TikTok distribute videos based on where you are located?

I recently started a TikTok account where I share my experience living abroad in my native language. I expected my videos to reach people in my home country who are curious about what life is like here. But most of the people watching and commenting seem to be people from my same country who already live here too. They comment things like “I felt the same when I moved here.” It feels like TikTok is mainly showing my videos to people in the country where I currently live rather than people back home. Does TikTok prioritize showing videos based on the creator’s location at first? Or will the algorithm eventually reach people in other countries who speak the language?
