I think i’d rather have 2k right followers than 20k random ones

the more i try to grow on instagram, the less i care about the actual follower number. i’d rather have a smaller account where people actually watch, reply, or care about the niche than a bigger one full of people who never interact. that’s probably why i keep noticing stuff like path social lately because the whole idea of finding people based on your niche makes more sense to me than just chasing numbers. curious how other people think about growth now. do you still care about follower count or mostly engagement and who’s actually following you?

Yeh I feel the same. I live in England but most of my followers are from India. I want more of my followers to be at least from Europe so I can at least interact with them…

followers are just for aesthetics lol

yeah, i stopped caring about the number once i started tracking replies per post instead of followers. this week try picking 3 accounts in your niche that consistently get real comments (not just likes) and note what topics they hit in the last two weeks. that's your actual trending list, way more reliable than guessing. build one post around that and add your own angle instead of just reacting to it.

2k people who actually care is worth way more than 20k dead accounts, but how do you tell whether a growth service is finding your audience or just padding the number again

Honestly, 2k people who actually care about what you post sounds way more valuable than a huge number of followers who never engage. Quality definitely matters more than the number.

My bar when I size up an account: 30 random comments, and at least 70% should be a question, a story or a specific detail. Follower count barely enters into it.

Does TikTok distribute videos based on where you are located?

I recently started a TikTok account where I share my experience living abroad in my native language. I expected my videos to reach people in my home country who are curious about what life is like here. But most of the people watching and commenting seem to be people from my same country who already live here too. They comment things like “I felt the same when I moved here.” It feels like TikTok is mainly showing my videos to people in the country where I currently live rather than people back home. Does TikTok prioritize showing videos based on the creator’s location at first? Or will the algorithm eventually reach people in other countries who speak the language?

i got 4.5million views last week, high level blueprint.

i went viral. 4.5million views last week. how? or more like how tf can you or your companies or your employees do this? I've been posting content consistently for 2 years, and this is my blueprint. Your content is mainly formats, subjects, and user value. in that order. 1. Format - steal your formats from other accounts that are doing well right now. For my account, before & afters work best, followed by 4-part transformation videos. Followed by talking to the camera storytimes. \*once you find a video format that works keep using it ver and over until you literally hit 1M views or followers. If its working, keep doing it. duh.\* 2. subjects - what is your video about? pick 1 subject and every video is a slight variation of that. mine is my transformation story. ("I went into the hospital for psychosis, after that I got super depressed, then I knew I wanted to make a change, so I founded my company \[name redacted\] and focused on trying to build a life.") 3. user value - why tf would anyone watch you? they dont care about you, they care about themselves. Are you showing something they need to see? Giving unique/accurate/useful advice? Offering a valuable shift in perspective? Connecting them to resources? (My personal approach to user value is to give it all away for free. Leave it all on the floor. If I know something of value to you I will simply tell you for free and generously. If my app is good, you will use it. If my content is good, you will follow me without me needing to do any bamboozling). So there is it! Format, Subject, User Value is my high level blueprint. I can break down how i researched and decided on my specific styles for each if anyone finds that interesting. My next post on this subject will me how I read my analytics to decide what content to post/not post. Any tips for growing a healthcare related social media page?

I’m trying to improve the reach & engagement, overall performance on social media page for healthcare, I am trying a mixture of static posts, carousels, reels but the views are very low. I have a page with more than 24K followers and new pages as well. But the followers are decreasing in the page with 24K followers. What could be the issue? Please share if anyone had similar experience, what helped you? Any content strategies, posting tips, or things you wish you’d known earlier? Would really appreciate any advice.

Tiktok Audience in Poland but I’m from the UK?

Have recently started posting on Tiktok and have been generating decent views on videos here and there. I went to check my Analytics on my videos for the first time and I’ve just realised that 80%+ of my views are coming from Poland, when I’m from the UK? For reference, I posted one video from my trip in Poland and since then my non-Poland videos have also been reaching mostly Polish audience and not UK/US. I have also posted all my tiktok’s in the UK, not in any other country. Does anyone know the reason for this or fix? I did just realise that location services was turned off in settings and have now turned this on. Could this have been the reason?
