I run social media for a charity here in the UK, and we regularly post content linking to parts of our website, event links for other organisations etc from our Facebook page. As of today (it didn't show up yesterday) we can only post 2 links a month without paying a fortune?!
How is everyone getting round this or are we all needing to just fork out?
Workaround for the link limit: Run an ad on your posting. Put your link with whatever cta (listen to, more about, sign up etc.) you fancy in the ad. Directly pause the ad when it gets approved. Post will get normal reach. Links both in comments captions and cta stay clickable. Works fine. Its even paid by Performance Bonus. If you got questions, let me know
Presumably doesn't apply to links in comments? Which is where we mostly put ours anyway, because Facebook tanks reach for links in captions
I wouldn’t pay immediately or build the workflow around the create an ad and pause it workaround, since that loophole could disappear tomorrow. For a charity, I’d reserve the two link posts for the campaigns that actually need an external conversion, move suitable activities into native Facebook Events, and use one evergreen landing page rather than spending the allowance on several different URLs. Track outbound clicks and completed registrations or donations for a month. Then Meta One becomes a cost per conversion decision rather than a panic purchase.
There's actually a really simple solution, and I'm surprised more people aren't talking about it! You can do comment to DM automation on Facebook - it's with Facebook, and it's completely free. I made a video about it. I think it's the easiest way to see exactly how to do it versus writing out the steps, so hopefully it's ok if I link it here: https://www.instagram.com/p/DdG9-eLRc70/

Can you share what it looks like on your end after you hit the limit? Were you using a scheduler and the post failed to go live, or were you trying to post the link natively, and it wouldn't let you? I run the social accounts for a brand and we're discussing whether we should switch to Meta One or not. We've treated our FB profile a lot like an RSS feed, which isn't necessarily a great strategy to begin with given Meta limits your reach when posting links in comments, but we can't figure out when/if/how the 2 links/month maximum actually kicks into effect.
What’s the price?

So apparently Facebook is testing a limit where some business pages can only make two posts with external links a month unless they subscribe, and I found out because Facebook told me I had already used mine. The only problem was... the post I was trying to make didn't have a link in it. 😂 No URL, no www, nothing clickable. I was just talking about something I had been working on, so at first I figured maybe I screwed something up somewhere and didn't realize it. I went through Meta support and they told me there were no restrictions on my account, but my page was part of this test where non-subscribers can be limited to two posts with links per month. Okay, I think two links a month for a business page is ridiculous, but whatever, at least I understand the rule. You post two links, you hit the limit, Facebook stops the next one. So I tell them again, yeah, but there is no link in this post. That's when they tell me the system can also flag what they called "link-like content," even if there isn't an actual URL. They mentioned things like saying website, using .com, or wording that sounds like you're telling somebody to visit a site. And I'm sitting there thinking... this is a business page. 😂 Of course I'm eventually going to say the word website. That's kind of one of the things businesses have. So I asked how I was supposed to fix it and they basically told me they couldn't remove the limit, couldn't reset it, and I would have to wait until the beginning of the next month. And to top it off, Facebook had already shown me a popup promoting Meta One so I could keep sharing links, and support told me subscribing may help avoid those non-subscriber posting limits. That's the part that really rubbed me the wrong way. I don't have a problem with companies charging for premium stuff. Give me better analytics, scheduling, AI tools, better support, whatever, and if it's worth paying for then fine. But if you're going to limit something as basic as a business sharing links and then charge for more access to it, I feel like the system should at least be able to tell when somebody actually posted a damn link. Because my whole conversation basically turned into: Facebook: You used your two link posts. Me: This post doesn't have a link. Facebook: Yeah, but it looks like it might. Me: Okay... can you fix that? Facebook: No. Me: So what am I supposed to do? Facebook: Have you considered paying us? 😂 I'm attaching the screenshots because I know how ridiculous this sounds without receipts. Has anybody else managing a Facebook page run into this yet? I'm especially curious about the false positive part, where a normal post with no actual URL gets counted as a link post anyway.
Hey all, I own a business that involves many clients that promote their product, art or website with TikTok (also Instagram, Youtube and Facebook). I want to offer them a way to post their content, or to get content created and posted for them on existing TikTok pages. Basically you got pages in a specific theme (sport, anime, cinema, culture, memes...) and you rent it for a specific period of time. You get paid every month, and all you have to do is basically connecting the account once to our system. You can opt-out anytime you want, you keep the full ownership of the account. That's basically a way to monetize your pages passively. For now I'm doing it myself with my own pages (3 tiktok pages with 500 to 3k followers, and 1 6k subscribers Youtube channel), I made around $800 renting these for less than a month. If someone is interested, please comment or DM!
I've been absolutely obsessed with short form content for the last two years. Like people have staged actual interventions about my health level of obsessed. I'm talking 11-14 hour days breaking down what separates successful videos from failures, experimenting with different hook variations, rewriting scripts until my brain hurts, testing every editing approach I could possibly get my hands on. Why this level of obsession? Because I'm absolutely certain short form video is the backbone of everything right now. Growing followers, selling anything, generating opportunities, creating brands from nothing. Every part of it depends on whether you can hold someone's attention for 30 seconds. But here's what nearly made me quit entirely: despite the constant daily grind, nothing was hitting. I'd pour 7-8 hours into crafting one video only to watch it crash at 300 views. Tried every tactic from every person claiming to have figured it out. Bought their courses. Applied their "proven" methods. Still going nowhere. I seriously started thinking maybe I'm just not the type of person who can make this work. Like maybe there's some fundamental ability I'm completely lacking. Then something clicked. I'm grinding constantly, but I'm operating completely blind. I don't actually know what's broken. I'm essentially just trying random things hoping something eventually works. So I stopped hunting for some mythical viral code and started analyzing actual data. Analyzed my last 50 videos second by second, documented every retention drop, and discovered 5 consistent patterns that were systematically killing my performance: 1. **Vague mysterious hooks are totally invisible** "This will transform you..." gets scrolled past every time. But "I used resistance bands for 55 days and my shoulder mobility actually decreased" stops people mid scroll. Specific concrete details destroy vague teasing without exception. 2. **Seconds 5-7 are where everything gets decided** Most viewers leave between 4-7 seconds if you haven't proven it's worth watching. I was creating slow buildups like a complete amateur. Now my strongest visual or most compelling number arrives exactly at second 5. That's where the hook that genuinely holds people. 3. **Any gap beyond 1 second absolutely kills your retention** Tracked this obsessively, anything past 1.2 seconds makes people think the video stopped. What feels like natural comfortable pacing to you reads as complete dead time to someone scrolling. Cut significantly tighter than feels normal. 4. **Visual variety is absolutely critical** If nothing changes on screen for more than 3 seconds, attention vanishes without warning. I started constantly rotating camera angles, cutting to b-roll, moving text placement, literally anything to maintain constant visual movement. Went from losing 50% at the halfway mark to keeping 70%. 5. **Rewatch rate is dramatically more important than most people realize** Videos people watch more than once get pushed exponentially harder by the algorithm. Started planting subtle details that aren't obvious first viewing, editing faster, adding elements worth discovering on rewatch. Rewatch percentage jumped from 8% to 31% and reach went completely through the roof. Honestly the biggest shift was abandoning all guesswork and actually measuring what was happening at every second. Came across this one app that goes way beyond showing where people drop off, it literally tells you why and exactly how to correct it. That's when everything transformed. Went from averaging 300 views to hitting 18k in about 4 weeks. Regular analytics show you people are leaving. This one shows the exact second, the actual reason, and what to adjust before your next post. If you're uploading consistently but stuck below 1k views, your content isn't the problem. You just don't know what's genuinely working versus what you assume is working. Listen, I'm sharing this because breaking through was honestly one of the hardest things I've tackled. I really wish someone had just explained exactly what needed fixing when I was stuck there. Would have saved months of confusion and doubt. So that's what I'm doing now for anyone who needs it.
Hey y’all! I’m fairly new to affiliate marketing and would love some advice from those who have been doing it for a while! I currently have a personal Facebook profile that is monetized with a few thousand followers. I occasionally share affiliate links and actually do pretty well with them considering I’m still a beginner! I’ve been considering creating a separate Facebook page specifically for affiliate marketing, product recommendations, and content creation. My biggest hesitation with continuing to post on my personal profile is that I don’t want to constantly bombard my friends and family with links. For those of you who have experience with this, would you recommend starting a separate page and building an audience specifically interested in that type of content? Or would it make more sense to continue growing my personal profile since I already have an established following? I’m also curious if anyone has made the switch and noticed better engagement, reach, or earnings. I’d love to hear your experiences and opinions!
Hey i have tried to make clips for a streamer on tiktok and youtube but i just cant them get to blowup i dont know what i do wrong and all AI cost so much that makes videos any tips?
I’ve spent the past year building Pollzy, a social platform where people swipe through polls, vote, see what others think, and discover people based on shared opinions. I recently launched it after building everything solo, and I’m now facing the challenge of getting people to actually use a new social platform. I’m curious what this community thinks. Does a polling-first social network have potential? Would genuinely appreciate some critical feedback.
