小红书 means little red book, not red note

They try to cover that they’re originally get inspiration from mao’s quotes aka little red book. For any anyone knows related culture revolution, absolutely brutal history dramatise generations. Now they use same kinda propaganda and use algorithm to censor. Why nobody says anything? Nobody feels this platform users talk weird cos they deleted and banned the content is “sensitive”? That’s not a healthy platform supposed to be, nor does it represent “Chinese people “, it only represents Chinese ppl ccp wants it be which is always defends its country which is defends ccp.

Restricted (& lifted!)

Some good news for people who are panicking about seemingly random restrictions. I got restricted this afternoon (3pm CEST) and it's already been lifted! All I had to do was appeal. Hopefully more of you can have experiences like this, but hope isn't lost! :)

People get banned for "not" speaking mandarin?

I am new to red note. I join groups where hobbyist musicians take turns singing/performing on their musical instruments. I do not know how to speak Mandarin. But I can speak English and Cantonese. One time, the host of the music group said Red Note sent her a warning that the group was speaking too much English. So then everyone quickly switched to Mandarin, at which point, I didn't understand anything other than simple things like "it's your turn to perform". Can someone explain to me what actually happens when you speak English on rednote? Is that a very dangerous ting to do? And what if I speak Cantonese? Some of the groups I join have cantonese speakers. Is speaking Cantonese also very dangerous on red note? I'm not sure what I can or can't do, and what happens if i speak too much english/cantonese. Any insight will help, thank you

Shipping fee confusion

So I ended up making an order with the direct shipping, but I saw the option for the consolidation shipping. I wanted to do it, but it seemed pretty weird and I didn’t want to end up getting charged more, what is your guys experience with that shipping option? Does it end up being cheaper? $50 shipping is pretty expensive for me, I ended up paying anyways, but I thought about doing the consolidation option. I just didn’t fully understand, I purchased all of my items from the same seller, so I assumed it would be more affordable, but it wasn’t and the consolidation option was still there. Is it worth selecting consolidation, or is the fee the same/similar or more

not getting verification code

Every time I try to make a rednote account I never get the verification code, I tried using wechat & gmail to make an account as well but nothing works. I’ve never made a rednote account before so it’s not like I was banned or anything, is it just the fact that i have a usa number orrr ? i just wanted to lurk on there lol
